Lavazza 2009 Calendar : Dolce Vita with Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz photographed the 17th edition of the renowned LAVAZZA Italian lifestyle calendar. The Armando Testa advertising agency and Creative Director Michele Mariani were responsible for the creative direction. The photographer realized a total of seven motifs (six for the months, with an additional cover shot) on the subject of “The Italian Style”. Her visual journey through Italy calls to mind the work of the great masters of the arts, cinema and fashion.

The photographer was the first choice of Francesca Lavazza, Corporate Image Director of the Lavazza Group. Five Italian models were selected: Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann, Alessia Piovan, Kate Ballo, Eva Riccobono and Gilda Sansone, as the made in Italy beauty ambassadors.

The sexy styling was envisaged by Nicoletta Santoro and the smooth production was taken care of by Karen Muligan c/o Leibovitz. Dolce & Gabbana provided exclusive designer pieces for “The Fashion” motif (March/April).
